WEB SITE PROMOTES HUMAN SIDE OF SECURITY

      The recently formed Human Firewall Council now has a web site, humanfirewall.org, to help companies understand that users and policies are as important as the technologies used to protect their systems.

      The site includes a "Manifesto" written by Charles Cresson Wood that visitors are encouraged to read and sign to show their commitment to raising security awareness within their organization. That includes making sure everyone from the CEO to the entry-level employee is adequately trained to use security tools and practices safe computing.

      The Council was formed earlier this year to promote the importance of human factors in information security.
